Explanation of Prospect Potential Rating (PpR)

Franchise Pro- Dominant player in high school that will carry that level of play to college and the NBA. Potential college All-American freshman year. Potential NBA Draft lottery pick and NBA All-Star. In a typical class the top 3-5 players will receive a Franchise Pro rating.

Examples of past Franchise Pro caliber players: Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Greg Oden, Kevin Durant.

Pro-Impact college freshman and potential college star. Good pro potential. In a typical class the top 25 players will receive a rating of Pro or higher.

Examples of past Pro caliber players: Tyler Hansbrough, JJ Reddick, Brandon Rush, Daequan Cook.

Big Time-Likely starter early in college career for a high-major program and potential All-Conference type player down the road. Pro potential.  In a typical class the top 75 players will receive a rating of Big Time or higher.

Examples of past Big Time caliber players: Chris Lofton, Reyshawn Terry, Sean Singletary, Drew Neitzel, Aaron Brooks.

High Major-Likely two year starter for a team in a major conference (or an impact player at a mid-major program).  In a typical class the top 175 players will receive a rating of High Major or higher.

Mid Major-Likely two year starter for a team in a mid-level conference.  Examples of impact mid-major programs: Butler, UMass, VCU, Western Kentucky, Xavier.
