Durrell Summers is one of the nation’s top wings. He is a long and athletic slather that scores in bunches and gets to the rim as good as anyone. He handles the ball well and is a pro at creating his own shot. Summers excels in transition and has unbelievable hops. Although he isn’t known for his outside shot, he is an underrated shooter that is streaky but rarely misses when he heats up. He was a top player at Nike Camp in 2005 and 2006. Averaged 28ppg his junior season at Redford Covenant.
Has great NBA 2-guard potential.
Newsfeed:
7/9/2006 (Nike All-America Camp, Indianapolis)- Summers was ranked 5th in our Nike Camp Fab 50: "Durrell has performed well all week, but his performance on Saturday night was one of the best of the summer. At one point in the game he scored 11 straight points on dunks, nice drives, and jump shots. Durrell is a tough matchup for any defender. He has a good outside shot and it’s hard to guard him close because he has an explosive first step. Solidified himself as a top 20 player in the rising senior class."
7/2005 (Nike Camp)- 5th ranked player and 2nd ranked underclassman in our Nike Camp Fab 50: "Nobody could stop him from getting to the hole. Shot well and finished everything"
