Introducing Matthew Brabham

N. Augusta, SC- The most exciting player we’ve seen so far at Peach Jam is only a rising sophomore.  5’9 point guard Matthew Brabham (pictured) of the Georgia Stars is a special talent that is under-the-radar right now, but we have a feeling he’s on the verge of blowing up nationally.

Brabham is the best point guard in the 16U division at Peach Jam and he’s also one of the youngest players in the event.   He ran the show to perfection tonight as he led the Georgia Stars to a win over a good Rising Stars team.  Brabham was the game’s leading scorer with 18 points, but it was his overall game that caught our attention.  He was a step quicker than every player on the floor and he has a ridiculous handle and court vision.  We expect him to challenge guys like Brandon Knight, Kendall Marshall and KC Miller for their spots at the top of the 2010 rankings.

Brabham said that he has received letters from some SEC schools inviting him to their elite camps, but he has no offers, yet.  If he continues to work hard we expect him to become a priority for a lot of big time programs.

Stay tuned for more from Peach Jam!
