Hello,
I played in four (4) club basketball games this past Saturday. Two of the games were league games and the other two were in the Phoenix Fall Showcase. We won three out of the four games. I had 20 points, 4 assists, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals in the first game. I had 22 points that game in the second game. I was on fire shooting the deep three pointers, scoring 6 three’s. I was feeling it. I also had 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Now, I mentioned to you in my last posting that I attend Sunrise Mountain High School. So our second game had players who play for our rival school, Liberty High School. This made us hungrier to win! Our team played with intensity, good chemistry, and we won!

I keep my hair short, and usually have my number and other things cut into my hair. This month I put the breast cancer awareness ribbon, and my grandmother’s name, “MIMI” engraved in my hair. I also sprayed the top of my head with pink too. I was wearing my pink NIKE 2011 Hyper-dunks. I do these things for a reason, and not just to show support. I show I care for other people. I do it for my grandmother that I loved so much, and still do even though her life was taken by breast cancer.

Also from my last posting you found that I play for God whenever I practice or play in games. The last two games were back to back games. Now, I was exhausted after playing two games earlier back to back. Now, I persevered through the adversity of being tired, and asked God for strength. I played with a combination of different players during the showcase from my club basketball teams, “The” Arizona Future. We all had fun and played awesome! My stats were good. I hit some good shots. I really played good defense.

I know I have mentioned stats in this posting, but really stats don’t matter as much as getting better as a team, and improving your game. God gave me a talent that I use every day in the classroom, on the court, and in life. My dad and I work out at 4:45 AM Monday through Friday at the gym. You may think this is crazy, but it is all worth it when you have to play four games in a day. Here is an example of my workout. I start off by warming up, stretching, cardio, shooting drills and dribbling drills. I then hit the weights either working my upper body or lower body. I always have a core workout too.

You also need to exercise your mind and Spirit too as well as being thankful for what you have. I read my Bible every day. I am currently reading the book of Exodus. This is my 6th time reading the Bible. I Love God, my family, academics, and the game of basketball. Basketball is my passion. I love this game so much. Every time I touch a basketball I thank God for what he has given me, and use it to the best of my ability. God has blessed me with a talent. This is why I train hard every day.

My favorite movie is Transformers Dark of the Moon. I don’t really watch TV. My favorite video game is…Yep 2K12… Just got it! It is awesome! My favorite food has to be Mexican and Italian. My favorite places to go are Church and the basketball courts. My favorite teams are the LA Lakers and Dallas Cowboys. Now, I used to like the Suns a lot when I was little. That is my family’s favorite team. My mission in life is to continue to spread the word of Christ around the whole world.

I want to thank those who have helped me get me where I am now in my life, and where I where I want to be in my future. First I thank God; because of Him all things are possible. I want to thank my parents for supporting me, and training me. I want to thank my coaches; Coach Holland, Coach Ron, and Coach Gabriel.
God bless you all,
Trey
