Trey Hoebee Player Diary Entry #3

By: Jeff Meadows
This is a third part in a series of articles written by Trey Hoebee about his life, recruitment and his quest to be a top local, regional and national prospect in the class of 2015.
In this edition Trey talks about his first week of try-outs, church and school.
Hello,
It has been a busy week with high school tryouts. Lots of hard work and dedication paid off. Our team looks great. Coaches have us running a lot. School has been good, Church was great. We learned about how to overcome discouragement. I know there are lots of kids out there who didn’t make their high school basketball teams. Don’t be discouraged about not making the team because God has a plan for your future. Just keep working hard on and off the court. Get with a good trainer and my coach talk to them about how to improve your game. We also learned about materialism. It is not about what you wear on the court… It is how you perform on and off the court (in the classroom, at home, church, and in your community). Good luck to all high school basketball players. Hope you have a great season!
