Rob Taylor's Class of 2011 Hot 50

By: Rob Taylor

After a long spring, summer and fall of watching basketball all over the country, I have put together a list some of the outstanding performances I saw on the tournament and elite camp trail.  Below is what I’m calling my “Hot Fifty” list. This list does not represent rankings of any kind, rather this project is my attempt to list some of the players I saw personally that stood out at the various events I attended.

Of course I did not attend every event this summer, as there are far too many of those, nor did I get a chance to see all of the elite players in the class of 2011. I did, however, attend a number of high quality events such as the Pittsburgh Jam Fest, Spiece Run & Slam, Bob Gibbons TOC, Adidas It Takes 5ive Classic, King James Classic, Adidas Super 64, Buckeye Prep Invitational, Reebok Breakout Camp, Elite 75 Prep Showcase, Gym Rat Midnight Madness and True Hoops Showcase just to name a few.

Not included in this list are a number of elite prospects in this class including LaQuinton Ross, LaBryan Nash, Jamal Branch, Mike Shaw, Austin Rivers and others that did not attend the events that I covered this summer.
