Kimbro back to J'town

By: Brett Blevins

As a freshman, Tony Kimbro was considered the best prospect in the class of 2011 from the state of KY.  He spent his next two seasons playing at Arden Christ School in North Carolina.

Kimbro is now set to come back and play his senior season at J'town where he started his high school career.  The two years away have allowed Kimbro to improve his GPA as well as his ACT scores.

"I just want to do my senior year in Louisville," Kimbro told the Courier Journal. "I have grown a lot as a person and as a player. I have become more mature and stuff like that. I am very excited to get back to Louisville and play there again. I wanted to finish my senior year at home."

Kimbro recently won the KY AAU State Tourney in the 17U age group with Shining Star Sports.

His eligibility is still pending KHSAA approval.
