HOOPSREPORT "PLAYER/TEAM SPOTLIGHT".

JACKSON PARKER-CARTWRIGHT
Leading his CAL SUPREME squad to the second best record in the EYBL Parker Jackson-Cartwright has proven that not only is a BONIFIED TOP PROSPECT but he's also a winner. "If there's one player that we can't do without it's Parker" said Gary Franklin Sr. CAL SUPREME EXEC. Parker's ability to break down the defense at will and run a team was something special to watch and HAT'S OFF to Parker for his great play in this year's EYBL.

DAMIAN JONES
When it comes to BLOCKING SHOTS, CONTROLING THE PAINT AND DOMINATING THE BOARDS Damian Jones was THE MAN. In every game that I watched Damian play he did just that and with Julius Randle by his side made it a real task for their opponents to score inside the painted area. Jones is fairly thin (190lbs.) but he plays big. Jones length, athleticism constantly has an effect on the opposition, couple that with HIGH ACTIVITY and you have a special player. It's going to be real interesting to see who wins HoopsReport's SUPRISE PLAYER OF THE SPRING AWARD.

MATTHEW JONES
Matthew Jones started off RED HOT in the first EYBL session and never cooled off. Jones ended up being a very vital piece to the TEAM TEXAS TITANS PUZZLE as he came up with big performance after big performance. Jones is a SCORING MACHINE that knows how to pick and choose his spots like no other and he also somehow, let's the game come to him which makes it very hard on the defense to get a handle on him. Jones is definitely a HIGH MAJOR PROSPECT and I'm sure that he will be signing with a HIGH MAJOR PROGRAM sometime in the near future.

BILLY GARRETT JR
Billy Garrett Jr. Is another one of those players who scores in bunches quite often. Garrett's ability to score on just about any kind of defensive scheme or size of defender made Garrett a TOP TEN PROSPECT AT THE EYBL. Garrett led MAC IRVIN FIRE in scoring at this year's EYBL and with two #1 prospects on his team, that says a whole lot. Garrett's abilities are very intriguing as he's able to get his shot off in any situation due to the fact that he has a solid handle and an array of moves whether he's out top or in the paint. Again, it's going to be very interesting to see who wins the SUPRISE PLAYER OF THE SPRING AWARD.

JAMES YOUNG
James Yong is a HYBRID (W) meaning; James is VERY VERSATILE. I watch James time and time again defend the opposing teams (PG) and not only did James more times that not blanket opposing (PG's), he was able to COMPLETELY SHUT THEM DOWN ON MANY DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. Offensively, James isn't much different as his skills, athleticism, speed, quickness and length leaves him pretty much puts him in a league by himself. James separated himself from the rest of the pack by his ALL AROUND GAME ON BOTH ENDS OF THE FLOOR and I'm really looking forward to seeing EXACTLY WHERE JAMES ENDS UP IN HOOPSREPORT'S CLASS OF 2013 SUMMER NATIONAL PLAYER RANKINGS.

ANDREW WIGGINS
Andrew is another one of those HYBRID (W) but there are a few things that put him apart from everyone else like, his size 6'8 or so, VERY GOOD, STRONG BODY, GREAT COURT AWARNESS, VERY SOLID HANDLE AND A VERY GOOD SHOOTER FROM THE OUTSIDE. Andrew has a great motor and the knack for getting to the paint and using his body to his advantage once he get's there. Will Andrew LEAP FROG JAHLIL OKAFOR IN HOOPSREPORT'S CLASS OF 2014 SUMMER NATIONAL PLAYER RANKINGS FOR THE #1 SPOT.

JULIUS RANDLE & JABARI PARKER
All national scouts had been waiting all spring long to see the MATCH UPS OF ALL MATCH UPS and neither disappointed. Jabari, HoopsReport's current #1 prospect in the class of 2013, did what he does on regular bases which is SHOW A COMPLETE OFFENSIVE GAME. Jabari hit a couple of nice mid range jumpers, went to the cup strong and finished as well as showing off his great length by getting a hand in the passing line a few times to deflect a couple of passes. Julius, #2 PROSPECT IN HoopsReport's 2013 CLASS, used all of his GOD GIVEN TALENTS and raised his level of play once again to show the world WHAT JULIUS RANDLE WAS MADE OF. Julius physical abilities along with his strength and athletic ability puts him a cut above the rest and we haven't said anything about his game. Julius is a COMINATION OF A (G), (W) and (F) and at 6'9, LEAN, MUSCULAR, QUICK AND FAST JULIUS IS A MISS MATCH FOR ANYONE. Folks stay tunned because not only have you not seen the last of these two battle, I'm sure that you will see these two battle for years to come.

CALIFORNIA SUPREME
When the rosters and schedule was released for the EYBL I put together my top 5 team list and CAL SUPREME wasn't on it but fast forward 2 months and Oh how things have changed. With a great coaching staff led by former University of Arizona All-American guard Miles Simon CAL SUPREME is the #2 team in the Nike EYBL. "We just take it one game at a time" said CAL SUPREME EXEC Gary Franklin. "We have great chemistry which makes everything a lot easier and a lot of fun. CAL SUPREME is led by HoopSreport's # 35 rated prospect in the class of 2014 5'9 PLAYMAKER Parker Jackson-Cartwright and KNEWLY AQUIRED 6'5 (CG) Nigel Williams-Goss who has given CAL SUPREME an added weapon a team that was playing well before his arrival. After finishing the EYBL season with a 16-4 record CAL SUPREME is clicking on ALL CYCLINDERS and by the looks of things, they have just as good a chance as any team in the EYBL to win it all in Augusta, SC next month so stay logged on to HoopsReport as we will be bringing you our EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE of the EYBL FINALS.

CIA BOUNCE
The CIA BOUNCE, Nike's #1, 17U REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS nearly played a FLAWLESS SEASON OF BASKETBALL in a league that is filled with SUPER STIFF COMPETITION AND OUTSTANDING PROSPECTS. The CIA BOUNCE is probably the MOST COMPLETE TEAM IN THE COUNTRY and is LITERED with TOP PROSPECTS such as class of 2013, 7'3 (P) Tanveer Bhullar, class of 2013, 6'4 (W) Xavier Rathan-Mayes, class of 2013, 6'10 (P) Nick Madray, class of 2013, 6'3 (CG) Tyler Ennis, class of 2013, 6'4 (W) Duane Notice and TOP PROSPECT HoopsReport's #2 rated prospect in the class of 2014, 6'8 HYBRID (W) Andrew Wiggins who was the leader of this SUPER TALENTED CIA BOUNCE squad. If I had to pick a front runner as this year's EYBL champion, I would more than likely chose CIA BOUNCE as the TEAM TO BEAT.

We hope you enjoyed HoopsReport's EXCLUSIVE EDITION coverage of the 2012 Nike EYBL. Be sure to stay logged on for our class of 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2018 summer National Player Rankings and DON'T FORGET YOU CAN FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER @ Meadows_scout.
