Deandre Daniels Commits to the Longhorns

By: Brett Blevins

Deandre Daniels has only been playing basketball for a little over 3 years.  In those 3 years the young man has become one of the most skilled forwards in the country.  Standing at a very long 6'8, Daniels is more of a face-up type 3/4 man.  He models his game after Kevin Durant and knew all along Texas was the school for him.

Daniels did take visits to Kentucky and Alabama following the Texas Elite Camp he participated in.  He had offers from both of those schools along with Memphis, Washington, USC, Utah, UNLV, and Rhode Island.

Daniels has a very high ceiling and is going to a system that has proven to be a good fit for face-up forwards.  He is a top 50 type talent in the class of 2011.
