CLASS OF 2013 INTRO: Solomon Poole

By: Jeff Meadows
Picking up where he left off from last summer, Solomon Poole continues "WRECK SHOP" on the spring/summer circuit. Solomon, the #15 rated prospect in HoopSreport's class of 2013 National Player Rankings, continues to prove that he's a LEGITIMIT TOP 20 PROSPECT ACROSS THE BOARD. Solomon ended up having an outstanding spring for one of the nation's premier aau programs, Adidas sponsored Atlanta Celtics, a program that have produced a number of NBA players such as Orlando Magic's ALL-NBA (C) D'Wight Howard and the Atlanta Hawks ALL-NBA (F) Josh Smith just to name few. "Solomon has been working very hard and it continues to show" said Solomon's Father Stacey Poole. "Solomon has been playing well for quite some time now and he continues to raise the level of his play". I've had the opportunity to watch Solomon play a few times over the past couple years and each time I was extremely impressed (see player evaluation below). Solomon has also played on the 17U level for a 3 years now with the Atlanta Celtics which definitely is not an easy feat especially when you take in to consideration that most players only get one year of playing on a high level 17U squad such as the Celtics. "Solomon is an extremely gifted player" said Atlanta Celtics 16U coach Horace Nysmith. "He reminds me a lot of Detroit Piston (G) Will Bynum".
PLAYER EVALUATION: SOLOMON POOLE
Solomon is as EXPLOSIVE as a 6'1 (G) can be. Solomon has an EXTREMELY QUICK FIRST STEP and when he get's by the defender (which he does about 90% of the time) it quite often results in a VICIOUS THROWDOWN! Although it may not be as consistent as I would like, Solomon does have range from behind the arc and his mid range is solid but his "to the basket or penetration game is "IMPECABLE". Solomon is also a very STRONG and PHYSICALLY GIFTED (G) who is very good defender but has the potential to be a GREAT ON OR OFF THE BALL DEFENDER, throw in the fact that he has a SUPER MOTOR and you HoopsReport's #15 PROSPECT IN THE CLASS OF 2013 AND COUNTING.
HOOPSREPORT ON SOLOMON POOLE
My HOOPSREPORT ON SOLOMON POOLE IS THIS: With his PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES, SKILL and WORK ETHIC Solomon will only continue to impress and climb up HoopsReport's National Player Rankings and currently at #15 the question becomes "How high will he go"?
