"Born Ready" a Bearcat

Multiple outlets are now confirming what originally showed up on Adam Zagoria's blog. Lance Stephenson has ended his recruiting circus and committed to play for Mick Cronin's Cincinnati Bearcats. Stephenson committed after the weekend which saw him play pickup with the team, tour the campus, and attend the famed Deveroes Summer League.

Many schools have steered clear of the prep star due to questions about his amateurism. There have been whispers about Stephenson's involvement with apparel companies as well as BornReady.tv compromising his eligibility.

Stephenson's talent is undeniable, regardless of the baggage. So talented that he is worth the risk of investigation. Cincinnati seems confident they will have him on campus come this fall without incident. A source close to the program said Tuesday, "If everything goes as planned, Lance will be a Bearcat next season. We are all confident of that. With his commitment, we have no reason to think otherwise at the moment."
