*Louisiana Select vs. Athletes First
Louisiana Select won this one in what would be considered an upset by a final score of 71-67.
Louisiana Select was led by 6'5 W Matt Derenbecker(2010) and his 17pts, and 3rbs.
Athletes first was led by 6'5 SF Terrence Boyd(2009) who had a game high 24pts.
*Team Texas vs. YOMCA Memphis
Team Texas who was one of the undefeated teams at the end of the day took this one by a final of 62-50.
Team Texas was led by 6'2 G Vertrall Vaughns(2009) with a game high 15pts. This kid has had a solid game everytime we've caught up with Team Texas and should be a nice pick-up for a mid major needing a point guard. Vaughns gave us a list of school's showing interest in him and it read something like this: Virginia, Nebraska, George Mason, San Diego St., Colorado St., and UTEP.
YOMCA Memphis was led in this one by 6'0 PG Jeremy Holmes who finished with 14pts and 3rbs.
*BABC vs. Wisconsin Playground Elite
BABC won this big matchup 74-63.
Phil Pressey(2010) and Jamal Coombs(2009) led the way for BABC whith 17 points a piece, Pressey also dished out 6 assist's in this one.
5'10 PG Johnny Lacy(2009) had a great game in a losing effort for Playground Elite with 23pts, 3rbs, and 5ast.
*Team Final vs. Team Jones
Team Final took this one 67-56.
Team Final was led by it's best player 6'3 SG Dion Waiters(2010) with 16pts, 4rbs, and 4ast.
For Team Jones it was 6'6 W Terrence Ross(2010) who had a game high 22pts, and 4rbs.
17U 10:15 a.m. Games
*Boo Williams vs. Miami Tropics
This game was no contest as the heavily favored Boo Williams took care of business and finished off the Tropics by a final score of 76-44.
Boo was led by the continued solid play of Duke commit Andre Dawkins(2010) who had a game high 17pts, 4rbs, and 3blks.
For the Tropics it was 6'7 SF Richie Edwards(2009) who led the way with 12pts, and 4rbs.
* NY Gauchos vs. Birmingham Storm
The storm was once again without big man DeMarcus Cousins who was on the bench in street clothes and apparently is out for the rest of the tournament and without his prescence the Gauchos took care of business and won this one 61-49.
The Gauchos were paced by an unusual hero in 5'10 PG Orlando Rodriguez(2009) who had a game high 23pts and 5rbs.
For the Storm it was 6'4 SG Jeremy Adams(2009) with 14pts, and 3rbs.
*California Supreme vs. Meanstreets
California Supreme took this one 72-61.
The winning Supreme team was led by 6'2 G Gary Franklin(2010) who had a game high 26pts. Franklin's good play has carried over since last weeks Lebron Camp and his stock seems to be rising with his solid play.
Meanstreets was led by 6'6 F Jordan Walker(2009) and his 18pts.
*Rising Stars Gold JG vs. South Carolina Ravens
With John Wall having one of his quieter games of the tournament(10pts, 4rbs, 3ast) the Rising Stars were able to capitalize and come out with a 79-63 victory over the Ravens.
Rising Stars were led by Marcus Jordan(2009) and his game high 22pts.
17U 11:30 a.m. Games
*Illinois Warriors vs. Houston Hoops
Even with a huge performance by Tommy Mason-Griffin(2009) 32pts, which wouldn't be his first of the day the Houston team still came up on the short end of a 81-78 score. The Warriors were led once again by D.J. Richardson(2009) who is having a field day at this tournament with scoring and led his team once again in this one with 23pts.
*Georgia Stars vs. The Family
Georgia Stars won this one big, 66-49.
The Stars were led by 6'5 W Adrien Coleman(2009) and his 18pts. The newest member of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Kammeon Holsey, had a solid game with 14pts and 5rbs.
For The Family it was 6'1 PG Carlton Brundage(2011) who led the way with 13pts, and 3rbs.
*Team Melo vs. Team Odom
This game featured two big name stars in Jordan Hamilton(2009) and Josh Selby(2010) and neither kid disappointed. Hamilton had a 19pts, 4rbs, and 4ast in this one and Selby finished with 15pts, 5rbs, and 5ast. Team Melo gets the win in this one by a score of 84-68.
Selby's performance was not the best for Team Melo though as Naji Hibbert(2009) came alive and poured in 26pts and 6'8 PF Andrew Fitzgerald(2009) added another 16pts in the win.
* Howard Pulley vs. Team Florida
Howard Pulley won this one easily, 74-55.
The winning Panthers were led by Minnesota commit Royce White(2009) and his 15pts, and 4rbs.
Rodney Williams(2009)who has also had a very good tournament chipped in 10pts.
17U 6:00 p.m. Games
*Houston Hoops vs. Rising Stars Gold JG
In front of a packed house of coaches and media Tommy Mason-Griffin put in his second big performance of the day with 24pts, 4rbs, and 7ast. Tommy did most of his damage at the beginning of the 2nd half where he didn't miss a shot he attempted until half-way though the half. He single handedly put the Rising Stars on their heels and kept them there. Mason's shooting and driving ability also helped get Keith "Tiny" Gallon into the flow of things and finished with a descent game of 6pts, and 8rbs including some big basketbs and rebounds in the final minutes to close out the victory.
Marcus Jordan put in a good effort for the Rising Stars with 22pts.
Head Coaches in attendance: Jamie Dixon, Bill Self, Pat Knight, Travis Ford, Roy Williams, Rick Stansbury, and Jeff Capel.
Side note:It was interesting to see Assistants from both Illinois and Kentucky sitting next to each other watching Jereme Richmond(2010) who is a commit of Illinois but has been rumored to be looking at decommiting and one school in particular he is rumored to be looking at is the University of Kentucky.
*Wisconsin Playground Elite vs. Birmingham Storm
The short-handed Storm took another loss and this time it was to Wisconsin Elite, 67-47.
Johnny Lacy(2009) led Elite once again with 15pts, and 4rbs.
Jamil Wilson(2009)had a quiet game of 9pts, and 5rbs in the win.
*YOMCA Memphis vs. Miami Tropics
YOMCA won this one by a final score of 69-58.
6'0 PG Jeremy Holmes(2009) was the leading scorer for YOMCA with 19pts, and 3rbs.
6'2 G Raymond Clinton(2009) had a huge game with 26pts in the loss.
*California Supreme vs. Howard Pulley
In a close game that garnered alot of attention California Supreme pulled out a victory over the Panthers, 91-85.
Supreme was led once again by Gary Franklin(2010) and another great performance of 32pts. 6'6 F Chris Johnson(2009) also chipped in 21pts, and 7rbs for the winning team.
Howard Pulley was led in scoring by 6'5 W Carrington Tankson(2009) with 21pts, and 7rbs. Rodney Williams and Royce White also had 17 points a piece for the losing Panthers.
Head Coaches in attendance: Mike Brey, John Beilein, Tubby Smith, and Stanford's new head man Johnny Dawkins.
17U 7:15 p.m. Games
*Athletes First vs. Meanstreets
The favored Athletes first team was all business after getting upset earlier in the day and took care of business in this one, 75-55.
For Athletes First Xavier Henry continued his hot streak and once again looked like the best player at the event, he finished with a game high 29pts, and 4rbs. Terrence Boyd had a nice game of 17pts, 3rbs and 6'8 Oklahoma commit, Kyle Hardrick, kicked in 12pts, and 10rbs.
Meanstreets was led by 6'0 PG DJ Cooper(2009) and his team high 18 points.
Head Coaches in attendance: Bill Self, John Beilein, Trent Johnson, Mike Brey, and Pat Knight.
*Boo Williams vs. Team Odom
Team Odom has just not had any help this weekend for Jordan Hamilton and it showd once again as they took a 77-54 loss to the loaded Boo Williams team.
Boo Williams got help from everywhere but we will start with Marshawn Powell(2009) who has been a beast all week and is looking more and more like a big-time player everyday, he finished with 13pts, and 9rbs in this one. Florida commit DeShawn Painter had 14pts, and 5rbs and 6'4 W Steven Pledger(2009) chipped in 13pts and 3rbs.
Jordan Hamilton finished with 12pts, and 9rbs.
Head Coaches in attendance: Roy Williams, Jamie Dixon, Jeff Capel, and Dave Leitao.
*Georgia Stars vs. BABC
The Georgia Stars came out on top in this one, 93-86.
Kammeon Holsey(2009) and Adrien Coleman led the way once again for the stars. Holsey had another nice game of 25pts and 8rbs, and Coleman finished with 24pts.
One of our favorite 2010 players, Gerald Coleman, led the way for BABC with 26pts, 3rbs, and 2ast. Jamal Coombs(2009) added 16pts, and 6rbs, and PG Phil Pressey(2010) finished with 12pts, and 8ast.
Head Coaches in attendance: Rick Stansbury, Bruce Pearl, Tubby Smith, Tom Izzo, and Mike Anderson.
*South Carolina Ravens vs. Team Jones
John Wall and the Ravens got back on track in their evening game and came out on top, 68-54.
Wall led the way for the Ravens with 20pts, and 8rbs.
For Team Jones it was once again Terrence Jones(2010) leading the way with 25pts, 4rbs, and 3ast.
17U 8:30 p.m. Games
*Team Texas vs. Team Melo
We were once again hoping for a head-to-head matchup with two of the top PG's in the 2010 in KC Ross-Miller and Josh Selby but once again it seemed as if the two guards cancelled eached other out and gave way to their supporting cast, Ross-Miller finished with 1 point and 2rbs and Selby finished with 5pts, 2rbs, and 4ast.
Team Texas got the victory in this one, 58-46 and remained undefeated.
Roger Franklin(2009) led the way for Team Texas with 17pts and 4rbs. Franklin is climbing up the charts fast with his consistent play and looks to be a very sought after player at the moment, he told us he has received offers from Arizona, Indiana, Oklahoma St., Michigan, Baylor, and Oklahom and is also getting alot of attention from Michigan St., Memphis, and Georgia Tech.
Team Melo was led by Johnathan Graham's(2011) 13pts.

*Illinois Warriors vs. Team Final
Illinois Warriors got the victory in this one, 58-47.
The Warriors were led by D.J. Richardson(2009) and his 14pts, and rbs.
Team Final was led once again by Dion Waiters(2010) and his 16pts, and rbs.
*Louisiana Select vs. Team Florida
Louisiana Select came out with a ten point victory in this one, 57-47.
Select was led by Langston Galloway(2010) and his 14pts, and 4rbs.
For Team Florida it was Kyryl Natzazhko(2009) leading the way with 15pts.

*NY Gauchos vs. The Family
In the last game of the evening to end and one of the most highly competitive games of the day finished in a thriller but in the end it was the Gauchos getting the better of The Family by a score of 60-56.
6'0 PG Russell Smith(2010) put on a show with his quickness and his ability to get to the hole and make plays, he finished with a game high 26pts. Durand Scott(7pts), Tevin Baskin(7pts), and Danny Jennings(2pts) all finished with quiet games but the Gauchos were still able to pull out the victory.
6'4 G Alex Marcutullio(2009) led the way for The Family with 20pts, and 5rbs.
Head Coaches in attendance: Dave Leitao, Tom Izzo, Roy Williams, Bill Self, and Jamie Dixon.

Alex Oriakhi of BABC leads the tournament in blocked shots with 10.
Keith Gallon of Houston Hoops leads the tournament in total rebounds with 44.
