Nike EYBL Session IV/Day 3 RECAP

By: Jeff Meadows

OAKLAND,CA-Day 3 of the HIGHLY COMPETITIVE Nike EYBL Session IV was the day that teams started to see and realize what their fate just might be as the play on the court INTENSIFIED. Without further delay, let's get to the action

ATHLETE FIRST (OK) (57) BLUFF CITY LEGENDS (TN) 62
After getting of to a fast start, ATHLETES FIRST looked as if they would come away with the win, that was until BLUFF CITY LEGENDS class of 2013, 6'7 (F) Nicholas King "went to work" running of 4 straight crucial buckets that put things out of reach as BLUFF CITY LEGENDS would come away with a 5 point, 62-57 victory. Nicholas King was the STAR OF THE GAME, scoring a game high 22pts 6 rebs while teammate, class of 2013, 6'9 (P) Jonathan Williams added 10pts and 7 rebs as for ATHLETES FIRST it was class of 2013, 5'9 (PG) Stephen Clark leading the way with 17pts 3 assist and 2 rebs and the "YOUNG FELLA" class of 2015, 6'2 (CG) Alonzo Tier dropped 16pts and snatched 5 boards.

OAKLAND SOLDIERS (CA) (45) BOO WILLIAMS (VA) (59)
While playing the majority of EYBL WITHOUT THEIR LEADER, HOOPSREPORT'S #4 RATED PROSPECT IN THE CLASS OF 2013, 6'8 (WF) Aaron Gordon (due to a foot injury) and without class of 2013, 6'6 (w) Jabari Bird the OAKLAND SOLDIERS have fared well throughout the EYBL but not so well in this game as BOO WILLIAMS led by class of 2013, 6'5 (W/F) Dwayne Foreman scored 13pts and grabbed 4 rebs front court mate class of 2013, 6'7 (F) Troy Williams added 10pts 4 rebs and class of 2013, 6'2 (CG) Anthony Barber posted 10pts and 3 rebs and for SOLDIERS it was HOOPSREPORT'S class of 2014 #10 rated prospect, 6'5 (WG) Stanley Johnson scored 12pts and grabbed 13 rebs.

TEAMS THAT HAVE RAISED THEIR LEVEL OF PLAY ON DAY 3
CIA BOUNCE (CND)
MAC IRVIN FIRE (Ill)
TEAM TEXAS TITANS (TX)
INDY SPIECE (IN)

TEAMS THAT ARE SLIDING FAST
GEORGIA STARS (GA)
ST.LOUIS EAGLES (MO)
ATHLETES FIRST (OK)
TEAM METRO (NY)

HOWARD PULLEY (MN) (73) ALL IOWA ATTACK (IA) (52)
If the ALL-IOWA ATTACK had any hopes of making it to the EYBL Finals THIS. WAS A MUST WIN GAME but unfortunately for them class of 2013, 6'2 (CG) Anders Broman and the rest of his supporting cast had other plans as HOWARD PULLY would go on to ROMP the ALL-IOWA ATTACK by the score of 73-52. Andres Broman led HOWARD PULLEY scoring 22pts 2 rebs 2 assist class of 2014, 6'4 (W) Jake Wright tossed in 13pts and teammate, class of 2013, 7'0 (P) Akolda Manyang scored 12pts and for the ALL-IOWA ATTACK was led by class of 2013, 6'9 (P) Akoy Agau 18pts and class of 2013, 6'7 (F) Dallas Ennama put up 11pts and grabbed 5 rebs in their losing effort.

BALTIMORE ELITE (MD) (50) MEANSTREETS (IL) (49)
Once again, this was another in the long line of MUST WINS GAMES for several teams but in this case it was a MUST WIN GAME FOR BOTH TEAMS and both teams played like it but in the end it was BALTIMORE ELITE who did just enough to come away with the victory. BALTIMORE ELITE was led by their "TWO HEADED MONSTER" Kameron Williams 20pts and 3 rebs Daquein McNiel 17pts and 3 rebs while MEANSTREETS were led class of 2014, 5'9 (PG) Tyler Ulis 15pts and class of 2013, 6'7 (F) Alex Foster tossed in 10pts.
