Marshall County HoopFest Wrap-Up

The 13th annual Marshall County HoopFest came to a close this past Sunday early in the a.m. and after two full days of ball we now take a look back at the weekend that was.
 
 
 
 
 
 
NEWS & NOTES
 
*The 13th annual HoopFest once again drew in some of the top teams from around the country with 7 teams from the USAToday "Super 25" participating.
 
*The 2009' class was represented nicely as there were 11 top 100 kids in attendance including 1 top 10 player in Avery Bradley(Findlay Prep).
 
*The 2010' class had 2 top 10 players in the HoopFest in Tristan Thompson(St. Benedicts), and Jared Sullinger(Columbus Northland).
 
*Oak Hill Academy (VA) improved their stock the most at the HoopFest by jumping 6 spots in the "Super 25"  from #12 to #6.
 
*Duncanville (TX) and Wheeler (GA) hurt their stock the most at the HoopFest.
Duncanville went 1-1 at the HoopFest after losing earlier in the week and in return they dropped all the way from #2 to #19. Wheeler lost in their only appearance in Marshall Co. and slipped from #7 to #24.
 
*After a 27 point defeat in their one game of the HoopFest, Montverde Academy (FL), was the only team to drop out of the USA Today "Super 25".
