Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas "Super 80" featured 80 of the top prospects in Las Vegas and the surrounding cities. "We were very pleased with the turn-out of players" said event director Chad Groth "We got the chance to take a look at the future prospects in Nevada". While top prospects like Ben Carter, Rosco Allen and Gio Guzman were on hand, there were some brand new faces that busy making their marks as well.

Let's look at Hoopsreport’s TOP PROSPECTS OF THE DAY.

Rosco Allen 6’9 (F) Bishop Gorman (2012)

Rosco Allen, Hoopsreport’s #42 rated prospect in the class of 2012 National Player Rankings, played extremely well all while putting his versatility on display. There were whispers all day long that Allen was more than likely going to give a verbal commitment to Stanford sometime this week.

Ben Carter 6’9 (F) Bishop Gorman (2012)

Ben Carter showed great versatility along with being a dominant force inside the paint. Carter frequently finished very strong several times whether in transition or in a half court set. Carter is still wide open as far as his recruitment goes but as of late UNLV, Oregon and Utah has shown very strong interest in Carter who can play multiple positions effectively. Carter is currently ranked #82 in Hoopsreport’s class of 2012 National Player Rankings.

Gio Guzman 5’11 (PG) Bishop Gorman (2012)

Controlled the game with his pass first game and knocked down a few three pointers during the day. Guzman is ranked #166 in Hoopsreport’s 2012 National Player Rankings.

Alex Tarkanian 5’7 (PG) Bonanza (2015)

Alex is a very effective outside shooter with very good range and is one to watch for in the near future.

DQuan Crockett 6’2 (G) Clark (2015)

DQuan has a very smooth and controlled game and also has a lot of potential. I expect for DQuan to become a mid major prospect.

Khalid Banks 6’1 (G) Cheyenne (2012)

Khalid attacked the basket and has a nice pull up. Banks has interest from Central Michigan, Boston College and Florida International.

Shaquile Carr 6’3 (PG) Canyon Springs (2014)

Shaquille can do it all and is one of the top prospects in the class of 2014 in Nevada. UNLV is definitely in the hunt.

Neiman Lee 6’4 (G) Centennial (2012)

Neiman plays above the rim and plays the (PG) and (SG) well. Neiman has been shown lots of interest from Tampa University.

Sean Clancy 6’3 (G) Spring Valley (2014)

Sean is a high major prospect who does very explosive is very effective in many different ways. Sean was the top underclassmen in this year’s event. Sean is definitely one to watch in the 2014 class and don’t be surprised if and when this young prospect breaks into the National scene.

Jacob McGraw 6’6 (SG) LaSalle College Prep, (Oregon) (2013)

Jacob had a solid day and did most of his damage on the defensive end. The following schools have shown interest: Stanford, West Point, Alaska Anchorage and Oregon State.

Kwinton Hinson 6’3 (G) Durango (2015)

Hinson is one gifted athlete and has a chance to be a special player. Hinson is very athletic, raw and loaded with potential. Hinson was the top prospect in the class of 2015 at this year’s event and may be the top 2015 prospect in Nevada. Hinson has a good basketball IQ but needs to work on NOT taking plays off. Hinson is a solid D1 prospect.

Terrell Butler 6’2 (SG) Arbor View (2014)

Butler is a natural shooting guard and is fundamentally sound. Butler has good upside and is a D1 prospect.

Nahjee Matlock 6’2 (G) Palo Verde (2012)

Nahjee has a good feel for the game, pushes the ball well and can score in bunches.

Nick Gianakoulias 6’2 (G) Bishop Gorman (2012)

Nick has good size and is a solid outside shooter but must work on shot selection.

Jordyn Martin 6’7 (F) Palo Verde (2012)

Martin  plays big and has good inside post skills, already getting notice from several division I programs such as Texas Southern, Arkansas Little Rock, Loyola (IL) and Prairie View A & M.

Jonah Legg 6’4 (G) North, Phoenix (2013)

Legg can handle the ball well and likes to attack the basket on every play. Legg also has a good pull up jumper and is definitely a mid major prospect.

Daniel Young 6’8 (PF) Valley (2013)

Young is extremely athletic, very active on both ends of the floor, likes to block shots and finishes. Young has a soft touch and can hit the mid range shot but excels on defense. Young is definitely a mid major prospect.

Michael Buchanan 6’10 (C) Palo Verde (2012)

Michael has great size, plays physical, rebounds and runs the floor very well but needs to improve his footwork. Look Michael will be a late D1 signee. Southern Utah, Army and Air Force have all shown interest.
