Kentucky Bank Shootout

Oak Hill Academy vs. Cincinnati Withrow Summary:

Oak Hill jumped out to an early lead with some explosive play. Cincy's Yancy Gates scored 10 of his team's first 11. Alex Legion led Oak Hill with 7 first-half points. By the end of the half, some of Cincy's other players showed signs of life, but it wasnt enough as Oak Hill built a 39-21 halftime lead. The second-half wasn’t much different and Oak Hill won 72-46.

Oak Hill:

Jennings scored 13pts, grabbed 5 boards and added 8 assists.
Legion had 11pts and 6 bds.
Smith(MVP) had 21 pts. and 7 bds.
Thompkins had 10 pts. and 7 bds. 

Cincinnati Withrow:

Clark Co. vs. South Laurel Summary:

Clark Co. jumped out to an early lead over favored South Laurel and was leading 34-29 at half. S. Laurel made a game of it by closing to within 3 with under 30 seconds left in the game, but they couldn't capitalize on a Clark Co.'s turnover and lost 66-62.

Clark Co.:

#2 Preston Knowles 6-2 SG Sr. 
+ Moves, Perimeter shot, Defense, I.Q., creates own shot and can hit with a man in his face.****Nathan, this kid is the real deal. Stole the show from Ty Proffitt by finishing with 26 pts., 7 bds., and 6 assists. Oh yeah, he was also the game's MVP. This kid was making double teams look pathetic. No one had an answer for him or his shot. Best player performance at the tourney. Will go far. I asked his coach about schools and he replied, "Lots of schools want him!"

#31 Robbie Stenzel F (Eighth Grade)
+ Quickness, I.Q., Mid-Range Game
Summary: This kid will also be sick. Only an eighth grader but played like a senior. Was injured at the start of the third. Left with 8 points and 3 bds.

South Laurel:

#13 Ty Proffitt 6'4" G. Sr.
+ Can create his own shot, Dribble Penetration, I.Q., Insane quickness.
Summary: When Knowles wasn't guarding him, Proffitt was getting his. Finished with 22 pts. and 4 bds. Battled hard with Knowles in the second half and scored most of his teams 4th quarter points. Will be a great college player.
