Houston, TX- Over 100 of the countries finest middle school players

This year's John Lucas IMSC had TOP NATIONAL SCOUTS like: ESPN's Reggie Rankin, Hoopscooponline's Clark Francis,'s Jeff Meadows,'s Mike Mlton, Top's Ron Briscoe, IHoops Director of Programs Duke Pryor, NBA Players Association's Purvis Short and USA 16U National Team Head Coach Don Showalter. If I had to use one word or phrase to discribe the play at this past weekends JLIMSC it would be MIND BLOWING! These young men were "Ballin Out" throughout the entire weekend. The GUARD PLAY was SUPERB as (PG's) got to the basket often to finish with very difficult lay ups in traffic or hitting their teammates with PEN POINT DIMES which often resulted in LAY UPS and or DUNKS while the (CG's) were SHOOTING THE BALL VERY WELL FROM THE OUTSIDE AND FINISHING ABOVE THE RIM, the (W's) were SLASHING, CUTTING TO THE BASKET and FINISHING at a HIGH RATE while the BIGS went "Hard in the Paint" finishing with VIOLENT THROW DOWNS over each other on a consistant bases which made for some serious EYE OPENING BASKETBALL.

In all of my 20 plus years of experience in grassroots basketball, this year's 8th grade class is as good an 8th grade class as I've ever seen. This class is FILLED with OUTSTANDING (G) PLAY, the (W's) are EXTREMELY LONG and ATHLETIC and as far as the interrior or POST PLAY is concerned it's UNBELEIVABLY DEEP AND LOADED. I'm so....... looking forward to ranking this year's 8th grade class (class of 2016), it's going to be FANTASTIC!

Starting today Hoopsreport will be posting Middle School PLAYER PROFILES along with Middle School SLEEPER REPORTS. In early June, for the FIRST TIME EVER, Hoopsreport will be posting our HIGHLY ANTICIPATED CLASS OF 2016, 2017 & 2018 (6th, 7th & 8th grade) NATIONAL PLAYER RANKINGS so be sure to stay logged on to view history in the making.
