Bouncy Wing Weighing Options

By: Brett Blevins
"I'm just weighing my options. I didn't play last summer, so schools are just now really starting to come," Bryce Jones said after a game that saw him electrify the crowd with a late crossover and big one-handed slam in traffic.
He is looking for a fast-paced system and distance from home will not be a factor in his decision making process (he played at Taft in CA last season). The schools that are picking up their recruitment of Jones right now are almost the entire Pac-10, Kansas, Gonzaga, and Marquette. Bryce plans on taking unofficial visits to Oregon, Arizona, Kansas, and Gonzaga. After those visits he will narrow his list to 5 and take some officials.
Bryce is 6'5 wing with tremendous leaping ability. He plays hard an affects games on the defensive end as well with his good length. He handles it well in transition, as well as in traffic, and can finish over bigger defenders as shown by his three or four monsterous dunks this past week. We love this kid's upside and feel he will be one of the better "unsung" wings in the class of 2010.
