All Ohio Red Win 16U Nationals

By: Brett Blevins
All Ohio Red breezed through 16U pool and tournament play to claim the AAU National Championship. The team has great fan support as well as support from the 17U squad, who had players routinely peeking around the court divider, while they were playing at the same time.
Standouts from All Ohio Red include:
Elijah Macon(2012), 6'8 forward, was a force the entire week. Macon is a tremendous athlete, as displayed by his two punctuation marks at the end of the championship game after thundering home the receiving end of lobs. He has good length and really gets out to runs the floor. He is an early West Virginia commitment.
Raphael Carter(2010) plays with the All Ohio Red 16's but he will be a senior next season. He is receiving interest from James Madison and Wright St. Carter has thought about going the prep school route due to grades. I wouldn't be surprised to really see the interest in this kid pick up. He is All Ohio's other big man, at a long and bouncy 6'7. He had a tremedous Nationals, blocking shots left and right.
Traevon Jackson(2011) is a very strong 6'2 shooting guard. Jackson is the son of former NBA star Jimmy Jackson. He loves to attack in transition and is a good athlete. The lefty finishes well through contact. Entering this week he had one offer from Akron, but that will certainly grow since he had a great July.
Trey Burke(2011) is a solid 6'0 guard. He isn't overly flashy but is a very good floor general. He has the ability to hit from deep as well as pull-up off the dribble. Burke should be one of the higher rated PG prospects from Ohio in 2011.
