Hoopsreport’s National College Player of the Week

By: Jeff Meadows
After having a monster performance leading his undefeated Baylor team on the road in an extremely hostile environment this past Saturday against a very good BYU team, Hoopsreport’s names 6’11 (F) Perry Jones III our National College Player of the Week. Against BYU, Jones stats read: 28 pts 8 rebs & 5 asst and a game saving block as the time ran out. Jones is among the nation’s top collegiate players/NBA prospects and as good as Jones has performed thus far this season, Jones could be the nation’s top collegiate player/NBA prospect. Jones has led his Baylor team to an undefeated (11-0) record, its best start in school history and is currently the #6 ranked team in nation. Last year as a freshman, Jones averaged 13.9 points 7.2 rebounds per game and as a high school senior at Duncanville HS in Duncanville, TX (a suburb just outside Dallas), Jones was a McDonald’s All-American. Jones was also the #8 ranked prospect in Hoopsreport’s class of 2010 National Player Rankings.
